About Us - Our Camp Manager
Please welcome Raccoon River Bible Camp's new director and wife: Jim and Sarah Engle
Jim was born in Trenton, MI and accepted the Lord as his
personal Savior in July 1983 while attending VBS in
Springfield, MO. He surrendered to serve the Lord
in ministry in July 1993 while working at summer camp.
Camp ministry has been very important in the development
of his philosophy of ministry and heart beat for
evangelizing and discipling youth. When young people go
to camp, not only are they exposed to godly principles
through the focused preaching of the Word of God, but are
held up in prayer by their home churches to interact with those principles and make life changing decisions.
During his college and seminary years he worked nine consecutive summers in camp ministry, both in the States and
abroad. Jim's hobbies are traveling, outdoor activities, remodeling, and DIY projects. He is married to Sarah
and they have four children: Josefine, Cornelia, Chaz and Standley.
Sarah was born in Vancouver, WA. She accepted the Lord as her Savior at 16, and attended Faith
Baptist Bible College, equipping herself to serve in the local church. During her college experience she
worked at two different camps, and, since then, has spoken at several different camps and Ladies
Retreats. Her interests are photography, getting to know people, planning and putting on parties,
playing musical instruments, and homeschooling their children.
Together they have ministered throughout the country while on deputation, across the world in
